What happens if you're struggling
Tara is an AI astrologer, not a crisis service. But people sometimes text an astrologer at hard moments, so here is exactly what we do.
If a message suggests someone may be at risk
This includes thoughts of self-harm or not wanting to be alive, someone hurting or controlling you, or being overwhelmed and in distress.
- The astrology stops. We never connect a crisis to your chart.
- You get a human reply in tone and a real helpline. The message is written in advance and reviewed by a person, not improvised by the AI. It includes a free helpline for your country and your local emergency number.
- We keep talking if you want to. You are never cut off.
- We go quiet. We pause every message we would normally start (morning notes, check-ins) for 7 days, except one short check-in a day or two later, with no astrology in it.
- A person may look. If someone may be in immediate risk, the founder is alerted and reviews the conversation, usually within 2 hours between 8 am and 11 pm Pacific time. Other flagged conversations are reviewed within a day. We don't contact emergency services on your behalf.

Call your local emergency number. You don't need to explain anything to us first.
